Work with hydraulic solenoid valve

With one solenoid (4/3), at normal status P to A&B.
Port A connect to the first hydraulic cylinder and port B connect to the second cylinder. Each cylinder has one pipe only. Cylinders are  used as clamps.

The question is how to control two cylinder in 4 cases:
1. Both cylinders extract.
2. One extracts, on retracts
3. Both cyllinders retract.

Let think and tell me know.

  1. Assuming that we are using single acting spring loaded cylinder,
Following conditions can satisfy the requirement,
    1. With the port P connected to A&B (float center spool)both cylinders extracted
    2. P connected to A and B connected to T will give one extract and one retract
    3. both A&B connected to T (float center spool) will give both cylinders retracted position

  2. Hi Sachin,

    Thank you for your comment.

    The solenoid valve schema is:
    1. Coil a & b not powered: P connected to A & B(float center spool), so both cylinders extracted
    2. Coil a powered: P connected to A, B connected to T, 1st cylinder extracted and 2nd cylinder retracted
    3. Coil b powered: P connected to B, A connected to T, 1st cylinder retracted and 2nd cylinder extracted

So I don't know what case both cylinders will be retracted?
